I feel like I've met people like Masha, who are manipulative, magnetic, brilliant, and dangerous - people who you're glad you met because they changed your life forever, but who you're also glad you're not associated with anymore as every moment with them felt confusing and terrifying. Masha, the 'guru' did not seem especially human, but she was very believable to me. The messy mixture of comedy, horror, and love felt very intentional to me - it seemed like a genius way for the viewer to experience what it might actually be like to be dosed up for several days with a tenuous group of strangers. To me, it does a fantastic job of existing on that edge between insanity and self-discovery that mind-bending or near death experiences often induce.

I am surprised to see how poorly reviewed this show is because I thought it was absolutely brilliant.
